SHADOW-LAW RECORDINGS TOUR NOISIA . SLR . Subtitle . Nerve . Payload . [Netherlands] & PACIFIC. SLR . Subtitles . C4C . Habit . Rehab . [Vancouver, CA] NOISIA: Hail from Groningen and consist of Nik Roos (20), Martijn van Sonderen (20) and Thijs de Vlieger (21). It all started in 1998, when the three were in the same school and developed an interest for drum 'n bass and producing, buying cd's and checking the net. Records like "Inside the Machine" (BC), "Wormhole" (Ed Rush&Optical) and "Molten Beats" (Ram Trilogy) and releases on labels such as Subtitles and Audio Blueprint carried the vibe they were after. After a couple of tunes, Noisia started to get in touch with likeminded souls all over the world through the wonderful medium called AOL Messenger. Mayhem from Shadow Law Recordings and dj Cyanide (Armada Records) 'discovered' them, mayhem visited Holland and they did a tune together called Tomahawk. Interest grew and various labels wanted to get their hands on their music. Tomahawk got signed to Nerve Recordings and that got people's attention. From there it rolled and rolled, to where Noisia is now with a whole bunch of releases out and forthcoming on labels such as Subtitles, Nerve, Habit, Armada, Monkey Business, Blindside, Payload, Shadow Law, and Holland's very own Citrus and Fokuz! After they realized people were really into their music, they quickly picked up the dj'ing side of drumnbass as well, so they could play people the music they love themselves, and of course test their own tunes on floors all over the world. After they decided to accept bookings, people from all over the world showed interest. They've now played in places like Budapest, Moscow, Berlin, Melkweg Amsterdam, Nighttown Rotterdam and Tivoli Utrecht, alongside well established dj's/producers such as cause 4 concern, black sun empire and ed rush. [ www.noisia.nl ] [ www.shadow-law.com ] PACIFIC: A veteran dj of the Canadian scene with over 10 years of experience behind the decks, Pacific looks set to make his mark on the international drum n bass community. Comin’ correct with a tough yet musical style, Pacific’s productions are best described as rollin’, deep and techy. It’s a style closely related to his dj policy, “always keep ‘em moving” and has been developed carefully over the past 5 years at Automatic, his long-standing residency in hometown Vancouver BC. Playing alongside a who’s who of touring dnb talent, Pacific has achieved a confidence that enables him to control any floor with precision and taste. Not content with anthem-bashing, his sets are more of a journey, moving smoothly between peaks and valleys, consistently upfront but always with room for the classic tune. Forthcoming releases signed to Subtitles, C4C Recordings, Habit, and SLR are already creating big-league buzz amongst the more forward-thinking djs. With Doc Scott, Matrix, TeeBee, C4C, DJ Lee, Flight, Pendulum, Concord Dawn and a host of others rinsing the Pacific sound, the future looks bright for the deeper shades of dnb.
