it prolly cant delete it cuz the trojan is actually running on the comp. so disable auto-restore, reboot your comp, kill the process and then clean

if you run xp, right click on "my computer, then go in properties, then go in system restore, and deactivate it. reboot your computer, press ctrl+alt+delete, then go in the processes tab, try and identify which process is your trojan (you can do so by searching for every process in google), once you find it, kill it. and THEN start your avg. it should be able to delete it now. Dont forget to re-enable system restore

ian: it wont delete the trojan if its running in the background.

and as for killing the process, what you do is run the antivirus app, it deletes all the files, once it's done, hit the reset button on your comp, then run the anti virus again.

don't restart it, reset it, restarting gives the virus a chance to repropagate it'self.

Either way it'll re-launch itself at the start when windows comes back on if the process wasn't removed...

As for turning off System Restore, CLICK HERE for instructions. System Restore could keep the infection because those files are "protected" and anti-virus programs can't touch it.

some viruses have startup entries in the registry, which causes to restart or reinstasll itself everytime you boot your comp
