| Rats are not part of our (western) diet simply for the fact they are filthy.
Rats can harbor a rare infectious disease called Leptospirosis. It is a bacterial infection and it is transmitted through their urine. Leptospirosis can causes jaundice, menigitus and kidney and liver complications.
When ur visiting like a resto somewhere in Eastern Asia and ur feeling adventurous, don't even think about trying a rat dish. Most cooks pick these rats off the street... put them in boiling water while they are still alive, then skin them. and y'all know wat happens when a lving thing dies, it usually piss all over. |
