| I know Sharon has done it... anyone else?
Is it worthwhile? How long is the program and how much is tuition? My girlfriend is interested in doing it.
Thanks :) |

| it's a 3 year career program which proves to be very time consuming and almost impossible to complete unless you already have a dec or at least half your core classes under your belt.
be prepared to spend at least $3000 on equipment over the course of the program. for me this included darkroom equipment (chemicals, paper, 35mm film etc) but now i know it's way more digital. last i heard you were actually REQUIRED to own at least a 4.0 mp camera just to be accepted into the program. there's no tuition, just a $125 registration fee each semester like all cegep programs.
if i could do it over i would have dropped out after 2nd year cause the third year was basically just working on your portfolio and learning stupid shit like how to frame your photos. honestly.
anyway i say go for it if photo is REALLY want you want to do, don't just do it cause it's cool and you don't want to do cincom.
my 2 cents. |
