To whom it may concern, I am sending you this letter in regards to false claims against my roommates (Natacha Thibault, Megan Granville) and myself (Noah Gitelman) that too many people are visiting the apartment. According to Isabelle at the “Regie du Logement du Quebec” a tenant is allowed to have as many visitors as they like as long as they do not create a disturbance. Up until now we have not had any complaints of excessive noise from neighbors within the apartment complex. We have visited each of our neighbors to the left and right and they both have agreed that we do not make an unreasonable amount of noise and the flow of people into our apartment is not noticeable. We have counted the amount of people coming in and out and have concluded that there are never more than ten a day. Our bedrooms are locked and when people do come over they stay in the living room which is in the middle of the apartment, so any noise that is made does not leak out. Our apartment is a non smoking apartment thus when people would like to smoke they must leave for outside. We have mentioned to all of our friends that they should not smoke in front of the building but to the side of the building. This does cause some of our friends to be outside at times, but we have noticed that many other tenants do the same thing. Not all of the people who are outside of the building are our friends and more often than not it’s people from other apartments in the building. There is also a bus booth right in front of the building and we have noticed that a lot of people who sit in front of the building are innocently waiting for the bus. We as tenants in this building are not responsible for other people’s actions and we would appreciate not being falsely accused that we are the sole cause of this so called problem. The superintendent / janitor today has threatened us once again to call 911 (the police) about this problem and has made threats to kick us out. He claims that he knows how many piercings and the different hair colors of all our friends and would like us to be kicked out of the building. He claims to be able to recognize all of them but yesterday when we were outside and he claimed my friends were there, we knew none of them. If we did know any of them and they were outside innocently waiting for the bus or smoking on the sidewalk this is not considered to be offensive. According to Isabelle at the “Regie du Logement du Quebec” you have no validity in your threats. We would appreciate if you stop harassing us with these claims. We reserve our rights,
