EDITORIAL UPDATE
The Kubby trial has been postponed again,but should begin this week.
Michele Kubby's attorney had a court-assigned case in Sacramento last
week.
Steve and Michele Kubby, both medical marijuana patients with a
physician's recommendation, were arrested at their home in Olympic
Village last Jan. 1999 and charged with growing and selling marijuana
and conspiracy. More than 200 plants were confiscated. The Kubbys
contend they were following Prop. 215, which authorizes patients to
possess, use and cultivate marijuana. Opening arguments should be March 6.
