NEW DRUG-FREE AMERICA WEB SITE LAUNCHED

The Partnership for a Drug-Free America will launch a revamped Web site,
www.drugfreeamerica.org, today as a first-of-its-kind destination for
teen-agers and parents.

The revamped site will include two new sections: "Help for Teens" and "Help
for Parents." The new sections were developed to help people who want
information about the effects of certain drugs and those who are seeking
help for someone already on drugs, said Joe Keenan, the Partnership's
director of new media and technology.

"The Partnership's Web site aims to help visitors get answers to common,
everyday questions about the impact of drugs on their daily lives," Keenan
said. "Whether you're a teen or a parent, you can quickly find information,
user-generated content and forums that will allow you to communicate
directly with your peers - and it's all in one place."

Other new features on the site include message boards, an "expert advice"
section for visitors to submit questions about drugs, a "Memorial Wall" and
"In Your Own Words" sections, where visitors will be encouraged to share
their own drug-related stories and experiences and to learn from the stories
and experiences of others.

The Partnership launched the site in 1996 as a parents' resource for
drug-related information.
