I don't think it'll be like a real Iggy show, a few of the original Stooges are dead, I think you got maybe Steve Mackay dropping in on sax but that's not the most crucial role, and he was mostly a sessions guy. Mike Watt has taken Dave Alexander's place, which is pretty cool, but I'm just not sure that Iggy has it in him to start cutting his chest open and shooting heroin on stage anymore. Ya know, meh.

Yes Margaret, there is a Santa Claus, er I mean there are other forms of intelligent life in the universe. Why would one planet on a remote arm of a galaxy be the only one to spawn sentient beings while an entire impossibly huge universe stays empty? I don't think we were the first either.

The government always hides things, what's new about that? I don't think you have to be a psy-freak to accept that we aren't regularly told everything.

If aliens exist apparently they either look like very well-tanned tall humanoids with perfect physiques (Pleiadians), like very bright, silvery-skinned creatures of some sort (Sirius), like the classic "grey" (Zeta-Reticulans) or they're characteristically extremely tall and usually blond (David Bowie). And the government is apparently just like the aliens on V. They tear off their faces right before they do evil stuff and eat kidnapped children or use them for fuel in a giant underground compound under Denver Colorado Airport, called the Montauk project. You can read this stuff until you have the paranoia required to be a full on psychedelics addict or you can take it with a grain of salt and start saying the important words "what's your source?" when someone comes out of left field with no references.

Yeah guys, I'd take that as a caveat. But I mean, you guys shouldn't talk about the people who need sleep thing really, I went to bed on Saturday night around 5 to get up for work at 10:30, really little sleep and psy pounding above my head. It was still going on when I woke up. I'm just glad I have very effective earplugs.

And Karen wtf I told you we had some cop problems, but you don't have to go and take that out of context talking about how we're not keeping it real. We never said we weren't going to scout but we have a good space for parties right now so we're at least doing a few. The cops didn't come in or really discourage us much. I'm not sure what you mean by saying "find new places.. organize big, quality events... bref keep it real..." - dude upstairs just threw the Electronic Brain party, that seems like it was a big quality event, and us guys downstairs haven't even been doing this long and you're telling us after three parties, none of which were "every other weekend", try every month perhaps, to month and a half, that we should find new places? Geezus Karen, if you really think we're such amateurs why don't you give us your NTK super master class on alienating friends and being an elitist snob with the same circle of people every weekend so that you can throw insular free parties where you treat newcomers, not to mention some regulars, like shit? Is that supposed to be better? Man you guys are losing me, I don't know how much more of your b.s. I can listen to anymore. We're trying to do our own soundsystem and you thumb your nose at our efforts. Is that supposed to be a friendly gesture? Because you had better fucking clear this up with me, I don't get whether it's a friend of mine indirectly dissing me or just writing things down before thinking.

This whole thing sounds like a contrived iPod ad in waiting, and I'm not looking forward to it because in Montreal, if everyone's just listening to their own music all the time it's just like walking down the street in Mile-End. If everyone puts on a simultaneous podcast, maybe it'd be cool, but I don't see the sense of it. A silent rave with the whole wireless headphone system would be a lot cooler, but you'd have all kinds of people taking off with the rather expensive headsets.

Every time Radiohead plays though, they drop a few unreleased or rare tracks, b-sides, stuff only the true fans would have heard.

They did this at Mutek for Le Passerale, where they had a series of performances that you could only hear by vegging out on the sofas with headphones on. But not with wireless headphones, unfortunately. They didn't quite have the budget I guess? Anyways I played one of these shows and had a blast. One of my better live performances but well, you had to have the headphones on so I didn't really draw passers-by in.

This seems to be the only record store anyone talks about, and when I've gone I can't find any of the records I'm personally looking for. Granted I am looking mostly for IDM and Breakcore but it still bums me out that there's no more Esoterik years after the fact. Is Nice Music truly the only good record store in town? Nobody recommends anything else!

That thing's gotta be popular with the BME crowd. Imagine the weekend, you get suspended from your back by a series of hooks ("cured"), then you get that ass-piercing you've always wanted while watching some dude hack up his own scrotum sans-anaesthesia and round the evening up by hooking up with the girl with face tattoos and several pounds of twat piercings, maybe with tattoos of flying dicks right above her cooch, and you guys get it on with the vagina bear installed. Man you'd be like the body modification king after that.

I'd really like to see Radiohead again because they're one of the best live bands ever, with the amount of instruments that go into the average song (Ondes Martenot for instance) one would expect live shows by them to be stripped down, but the group has been able to pull it off on stage quite flawlessly for a while. That group is in a totally different calibre than crap like Linkin Park and I could understand the ticket price being so high. They sell out extremely fast, which is why I haven't seen them in ages.

Metallica sound like they're turning into bigger and bigger egotistical losers every second. What's up with forbidding alcohol sales during their set? Have they gone straight-edge? They all recovering alcoholics? So lame.

But it would be hilarious to see Zazz Blammymatazz live, especially if they got that rock and roll clown guy to do the lead vocals again.

I'd say that for the 3 for $10 deal it ain't really worth it. The Pound does 2 for $5 and I think it's 3 for $8. Sweet little place. Open mic nights on Thursdays which are actually quite fun despite the fact that it's a bit of a grab bag of "talent", but the place is like a really big loft that was converted into a bar, the staff are nice, and there's a big TV for hockey games. Maybe I just like it because I just have to walk down the hall, go out one door, walk up the street about 200 paces, then enter another door to get there, but it's already better than a half-basement.

I'd say don't hunt this tiny bar out, let it find you, hehe. Before I first moved to Montreal I ran into several places that I haven't been able to locate since. Most of the city is bars.

But yeah Meganne, don't get too affected by the disses of the jerky regulars on here. They do lame shit like hitting people with sticks or drawing stupid mustaches on themselves so it's not really like you have to give them the time of day.
