| Windows XP stores in the drive letter in the MBR of the drive. Leads to fun situations where your like "Ok, I'm gonna take out drive D" *remove HD* *reboot*
Hey, where did my F go... D is still there...
I had to reformat the swap-out drives I'm using, because one of them had once been a C drive, so when I put it in, even though it was the secondary slave, it was still trying to boot and over-riding my current drive C. |
