I stand by my other choices for these reasons Honda: AMAZING ENGINES! They go forever, and have great power. Toyota: Great engines too. Solid bodies, and a very smooth ride. Jetta: Amazing on gas, quick, and spacious. On the bad side, older honda's (pre 96 and back moreso) had major issues with rusting on the fenders, and near the back bumper. So be careful if you're getting an older one Toyota: likes to guzzle more gas than you'd think. But still nothing overly high. Definately economical. Jetta: getting/replacing parts can be a bitch. But chances are if you hunt around, you can find great mechanics to do it well and cheap. I know a number of them in Ottawa, but not yet in mtl. |

CAA has rated VW Golf and VW Jetta as the worst car of 2003. My civic is great on gas. 25$ gets me roughly 600kms. The engine is only 115, but it't a v-tech engine and has some sweet as bite to it. The Jetta was rated safest car of 2003 in its class. The civic isnt in the same class as the jetta. |
