SANFORD'S EFFORTS WILL PROVE FRUITLESS
The good citizens of Sanford ("Sanford citizens fight illegal drugs," April
20, 1A), can meet all they want, but unless they begin to understand that
the root cause of the "drug problem" is the fact that certain drugs are
prohibited, they won't get anywhere. Why are there no meetings about legal
drugs? Because they're legal!
The only way to reduce the harm and heartbreak of illegal drugs is to allow
users once again to purchase clean, cheap, quality tested drugs at the
corner store, just as tobacco users do.
