PRODUCER'S PSYCHIATRIST STRIPPED OF MEDICAL LICENSE

The psychiatrist for ``Beverly Hills Cop'' producer Don Simpson, who died of
an overdose nearly five years ago, has been stripped of her medical license
for overprescribing drugs to Simpson and others.

The Medical Board of California's 25-page decision Wednesday said Nomi
Fredrick was grossly negligent in prescribing morphine and other drugs to
Simpson. It also accused her of falsifying patient records and lying under
oath.

Simpson had traces of 21 drugs in his system when he died of a drug overdose
in January 1996.
