Electronica was something I remember seeing on compilation CDs from 1995-1998, and it usually meant stuff like Orbital, Meat Beat Manifesto, Empirion, Junkie XL, The Prodigy, Underworld, as well as Plastikman and Aphex Twin, anything that got through to the mainstream from the underground. It seems to me that it loosely referred to any sort of new styles of electronic music at the time and was an effort to pigeonhole. Dude... usually I don't believe that acid is being replaced with something but this makes total sense. I've tried a-MT, and it's potent and very similar to acid. Very hallucinogenic, pleasant trip guaranteed because it doesn't drain your serotonin as much, good visuals on higher doses, but one big huge danger: it's an MaO-Inhibitor (which means it prevents Chinese communism). This means that a whole bunch of everyday toxins become significantly more neurotoxic on it, and put you at high risk for a hypertensive crisis. In fact that's the worst aspect of a-MT; it's a great anti-depressant and was tested as such under the name IT-290, but it's dangerous at higher doses... as are all MaO-inhibitors. Hey I just thought I'd put a drug warning out there so that no one dies in the scene. A few times now I've somehow run into these weird so-called MDMA caps that are ridiculously smelly. They smell so bad the smell won't leave a card, your nose (a few people just went ahead that I knew), anything it touches. It smells like some sort of failed incense mixed with tomcat piss, it's really obnoxious and well, noxious.

I looked it up and it turns out that if a pill stinks like this kind of retarded mule shit that it means there are still ketones floating around in the compound, which probably contains some MDMA, inside the capsule. Ketones give off a foul odour, and can be left over from a hurried MDMA-creating process. This means shoddy chemistry, probably rushed. However the other possibility is that the smell comes from MDP2P, which also has a strong and distinctive odour, like cheap cologne, in a weird sort of musk scent. The mix of both smells in this pill had me convinced that there was some of each of these other compounds in it. If any of you want to try to figure out more, these links seem to be a good start:

These chemicals apparently come from safrole, which many of you probably know is the popular source for MDMA, and apparently why there's often a licorice smell. I'm no expert on this but I did a bit of research. I ended up exchanging the stinkbomb (despite having a smelly table and smelly card to deal with) for two speeds, after telling the guy what he was actually selling. Of course this wasn't easy but don't take these things. A friend of mine puked up black puke and blood after dosing half of one. They're super dangerous.
