i don't know how many label people you deal with / talk to on a daily basis, but when a track is solid, i can get released on a few different CD's / releases (usually from the same label + a different label)..

As for publicity, well, that's what websites and blogs are for, along with Dj's and DJ sets... those all help artists get there music out there. Making or directing people to torrent site will create a bad habit (like smoking) and people will then not feel the need to go back out and actually spend money on a product, no matter how good it is. why should we educate people to start with torrent sites yet alone tell artists that "hey man, if you put all your music on torrents it will help you become big, so that once you get big people will continue getting your music from the same place they got it the first time they heard you... ohh wait, that won't work..."


If you wanna get "big" in a good, healthy fashion, get a crew of your friends to BUY your album on a site like "Beatport" and make sure you hit the charts.

I mean, it's easier to sell something that has / had value in the past, rather than to convince someone to purchase music they can already get for free.. no ?

i dunno scotty.. maybe like, durring the party, like, i don't want to spend the night behind a fucken computer for 12 hours, observing the exact seconds each Dj is about to finish, in two rooms, with 30 Djs'..

Jester Records and DeadNa have an urgent announcement to make regarding the event, REWIRE 5. Due to circumstances out of our control, our Party location (Club Existenz in laval) of choice has turned away our reservation to follow a new path. The place will be renovated and will no longer be suitable for parties of this style.

okay, let me ask my question for the 4th time. if you don't know the solution, please refrain from giving me a suggestion.. LOL.. cause i know there are TONS of software out there that are created to record LINE-in devices directly in MP3 without having to convert it.

so, does anyone know or have a program that records LINE-IN straight into MP3's (cause i don't care if the Dj sucks and needs to have his Dj set re-worked after his set) LOL.. :P

Noah, not everyone is a "rookie" and want's "exposure" as an artist. some people have already "been around" long enough to kinda wanna move past that first stage. :)

i don't know about you, but durring a party, it's hard to just "cut" the music 12 times between each Dj to "restart" recordings. it's so much less work to just cut the sets up afterwards..

so yeah, i'm looking for a program that actually convert's it in realtime to MP3 so that the RAM usage is much less.. :)
