As some of you might or might not know a number of dj's from Montreal were recently booked at a large trance festival in Stocholm Sweden. This week, 2 months before this festival was to take place, a sub factor of the Swedish authorities also known as the "rave kommissionen" pulled the plug on the entire event. Having been booked there a few times in the past I've seen first hand the shit the promoters and party goers have to go through and put up with to keep their beloved scenes alive. Swat gear laden police lines surrounding the dancefloor pulling out all party goers that look even remotely under the influence and subsequently incarcerated until a proper drug test can be administered, sometimes this process can take days. (testing positive in a piss test is considered, and penalised as "posession" ) The last event I played at there, the police found us using helecopters, luckly they were about 2 hours too late, everyone had left and we were busy cleaning up the field, but they were definately ready for battle. These promoters and party goers are some of the most hardcore muthafukkaz I've ever come across and get a massive props and a tipped hat from this end for keeping it real. Here is an exerpt from a text written about the Swedish drug laws and the methods they use to enforce them...

"In 1996 a special police squad was formed with the sole task of utilising the powers criminalisation of drug use gave them to hunt down drug users. Named the Ravekommissionen (Rave Squad) their job is to infiltrate raves, clubs and bars where it is suspected there may be drug users. Indicative of how Sweden regards drug users, the Rave Squad was one of the first police units to be given permission to test the new telescope clubs. The Rave Squad are trained to look for the signs of drug taking. Anyone they suspect may be under the influence of an illegal drug may suddenly find themselves thrown against a wall while a flashlight is shone in their eyes to look for tell-tale pupil reactions before being dragged away for compulsory blood tests. According to social worker Jan Quarfordt young people are nervous about how to behave. They must always be aware that they must not lick their lips or gesticulate or move in certain ways in case it is interpreted as a "sign" and they end up in a police cell. (Arbetaren no. 9 1998 ) Sweden must be the only country in the world where looking unduly happy, laughing or dancing too energetically can get you arrested, with the possible exception of some Islamic Fundamentalist states.

How the Rave Squad regard the people they apprehend was revealed in an internal police shift report obtained by a Swedish newspaper where people are routinely referred to as "junkie", "damned junkie, "junkie shit", "druggie", "damned druggie" "druggie rat", "druggie whore", "junkie whore" and "nigger kids" (Nojesguiden, 8.3.98 ) How the macho thugs of the Rave Squad see themselves was revealed by Prosecutor Stefan Bergman when he told Nojesguidens reporter that "The Rave Squad works exactly like the Vikings who headed their raids to wherever they expected to find something." The same newspaper article also reported that the Rave Squad have extended their activities to spying on private houses and hanging around in stairways where they listen at apartment doors for sounds of drug abuse (whatever that may be)."

"Audiofarm is closed
I'm very sorry to tell you, but [ audiofarm.cc ] is closed. As lots of you noticed, I was not active on the site anymore for quite a long time. Personal issues and my real life job keep me busy and I just can't spend that much effort in audiofarm as I want to, and would be needed to keep this site running. I feel very sad about that, but there's no other choice for me than closing this place.
I'd like to thank you all, especially the sloed, the moderators and of course the whole community for the great time we hat together!
Stay tuned all,
goafreak"

for [ www.audionews.ru ] is the same invite and ul/dl principal, with a twist, a friend of mine gave them 50$US "donation" and they gave him 100 gig dl ratio. (considering most 500 meg sample cd's retail from anywhere between 200$ and 600$, and most vst's usually between $200 and $3000, thats an uber fantastic deal) ..I just started and dont have any invites as of yet. Sofar it looks just as good as audiofarm was, im pretty sure most of the audiofarm people will end up here sooner or later.. -K

Methamphetamine was first synthesized in 1919 in Japan by the chemist A. Ogata. The method of synthesis was reduction of ephedrine using red phosphorus and iodine.

Methamphetamine is closely related to amphetamine, which was first synthesized in 1887 by Lazar Edeleanu, a Romanian chemist. Over time, the chemical's use, distribution, and place in society has changed from insignificant, to controversially beneficial, to infamous.

Methamphetamine was later distributed during World War II by the Allies and the Axis to troops, under the name Pervitin.[1] The Nazis widely distributed methamphetamine to their soldiers for use as a stimulant, particularly to SS personnel and Wehrmacht forces in the Eastern Front. Adolf Hitler received shots of methamphetamine from his personal physician, Theodore Morell.

After World War II, a massive supply of methamphetamine, formerly stockpiled by the Japanese military, became available in Japan under the street name shabu[citation needed]. The Japanese banned the drug soon after World War II, which is thought to have added to the growing yakuza activities related to illicit drug production. Today, the Japanese underworld is still associated with the drug, although its use is discouraged by strong social taboos.
