There's probably lots of nicer spots on earth, but still ...
You have to be @ home everywhere, if you don't feel good you won't feel good anywhere ...

True dat Montreal has its load of bad vibes-influences-polution-etc., but its worse at mnay places too ...

Its the eternal fight ; Trying to create oneself a nice inner landscape, where you can feel @ home anytime even in the ugliest-roughest external situations ...

Honestly, Montreal rocks. I travel a bit, and spend alot of time out of the country. In the past 10 years, I've been to 18 countries, countless cities and I can tell you that montreal is a good place to set-up base. True, we have no culture, and the only thing our ancestors left us was the recipie for poutine and a bunch of dead natives, but I suppose our culture is actually a pick and chose "caitif" melting pot. There is very little polution compared to TO or LA. Not only that, but we have 15% beer, the biggest fireworks competition on the planet, the tams and shisha to name a few. Did I mention you can't throw a rock in this city without hitting a hot chick? Plus when you travel, you can get laid due to the french factor. Theres so much here to see and to do and to have done to you, you just need to look. But shit, if you don't want to look, it's your own damn problem and you deserve to be miserable. So don't blame your depression on the city, blame it on your own lazy ass.

Anubis.. I lived in montreal for the past 10 years, i know the city by heart, i've done everything possible to do in this city, i never said it's a bad city but when you know whay too much ppl and that you can't walk d/t without at least seeing 10 ppl you know i find my life to be too repetitive. After going back to europe and seeing how ppl live there, for me at least i like the other nway of living.. ppl are less fucked up (well depends where you are) and the food is better and healthier.

Don';t get me wrong, i love montreal, i grew up here and all and even if i do move away i'm gonna be back here often to chek up on everyone coz there's no weed like here =)

bah, montreal is great and i know i'm fortunate to have grown up here (even if it was in the west), but....

as soon as i get a bit of cash - i'm out!!

off to Prague or Copenhagen or Edinborough... somewhere a little less "developped" with good beer and sexy accents!

yeah
Europe is my wet dream
the only reason I havent killed myself from not being there is because Montreal is the most European city outside of europe (and even moreso than some IN europe)... but Europe is my fantasy
to live there would make me happy

yeah afro - i agree 110% - europe is the place to be, but montreal is the place to in north america (and maybe new orleans...)

why don't we start our own european colony?

well, i don't really know cause i've never been there...
