Ketamine is really special... I think it gives the purest, cleanest feeling of any drug, and the physical state it puts you in is really unique. Try running on ketamine... or ketamine + dubstep (ahhh).
It really makes me sad that continuous use can cause serious urinary problems, as ketamine had always been considered a drug that was very physically safe. Ah well... it's best kept for special occasions anyway. |

Once, twice, or whenever they do medical procedures - injected pure out of the vial. Not cooked into powder and sniffed, not cut with anything to give it more volume, not 6 vials every weekend for two years; once in a while, when a medical procedure that requires anesthesia occurs. DXM is used in cough syrup and anti-cough stuff, and it's a hardcore hallucinogen, but it's only administered in small, 'medical' doses, not insane recreational doses.

No shit... all drugs in moderation, or your shit gets fucked. |

If you're doing anything other than pure plants, or something that's actually medicinal, by definition you're not doing it "in moderation"

"Medicinal" drugs can be used moderately, too (well, depends on what you consider moderate I guess). The anaesthetic doses of ketamine administered in clinical settings tend to be much higher than what people take at raves (at a rave you just want to get dissociated; in a clinical setting, the drug is used to knock people straight out). |

yea its because your body cant break up the chemical compound and any molecules that the body cant digest comes out in your urine... and because your kidneys cant "flush" out ketamine the way it can "flush" out other "wastes"... so your pee becomes insterile which gives you infections which decreases your kidney function and then crystals form and then you pee blood.
it also has irreversible effects on your GI tracts... which is why to safely administer ketamine it has to be done intraveniously. drug talk 101

I'd never met him before, but said he was throwing a breakcore / jungle party and he wanted me to headline it. he said we'd meet up later in the month to discuss details. I was like - ok cool. then a couple weeks later, someone else added me on MSN, and told me that the guy who'd asked me to play his jam had just died. but they decided to throw the jam anyway, and make it a tribute in his memory. so I came out and threw down some of his favourite tunes with a bunch of other peeps, and it was a nice send-off party but point of that story being.. that guy was young and in his prime. he was only 20 or so, and he died from injecting himself with Ketamine. I'm sure he thought he knew what he was doing - so definitely people should think twice before they mess with that. |

I meant like in a hospital... ketamine chloride is used on children in hospitals as general anesthesia. Also, anesthesiologists are not doctors... they are more like chemists. Not only anesthesiologists administer it to the patients either. It actually is not that dangerous if used on children as a form of anesthesia.. which is why it is used on children vs. most opiates.

He said - in Canada at least - Anesthesiologists first have to do med school, and then after completing med school, they then have to do an additional 4 years of studies in Anaesthesiology. He's a specialist in internal medicine and was Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians, Radiology and Internal Medicine for many years, so he would know. |
