this brings the question :

would a policeman "defend" his personnal time , say hes doing overtime and wants to go back home to his family , the right to "defend" his personnal agenda?

It never ceases to amaze me all those people protesting against police brutality here, they have no fucking clue how good we have it here.

Yes, there is some brutality but everyone's behaving like if it's the entire police force.

Plus, if all those wailing and bitching about that spent a few months in a heavily militarized country like Israel and witness what the police are doing to the population over there, they'd be pretty fucking content with what we have here. I know I fucking would.

Sometimes, the grass is greener HERE even though a lot of people refuse to acknowledge that.

i agree, but complacency about a problem leaves to isolated errors .

their job is close monitoring , this should work both way.

RCMP softened Taser-use restrictions

In response to national anger at the death of Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski in the Vancouver

airport, the RCMP was urged to curb multiple Taser use by its officers — but instead deleted an

existing restriction from its stun-gun policy.

CBC News has learned that on Feb. 3, 2009, two sentences were erased from the main document that

guides officers' actions — the first limiting Taser usage to one shot and no more than 20 seconds at

a time, and the second requiring officers to warn suspects before deploying a stun gun.

cops: some good, some bad.

the trouble with them is that they are humans in position of power, with weapons and an over-protective brotherhood, no matter what country you live in. But even with all that, there are plenty of helpful cops...though for some cops it depends on where you live, and what you look like. Plenty of cops do their job, and to the best of their ability.

my problem with the police force isn't the cops themselves, 'cause anyone could be an asshole or a good person, it's how they're used. The BossMan should be sending them out to check parks for rapists, not sending 'em to a rave to throw kids out on the streets at 4 am.

i guess it's one of those things that can't be generalized; it's case by case.

see, i share the same opinion, they seem to love people " walking relentlessly " than stoping and regrouping . this relentless obligation is enough to lead some people out of their mind, the main thing that should be prevented in the first place.
