s.t.f.u. keep posting . cops selling wepons for their own profit . in the suburbs , some of the stations are overun by racists cops ( some listen to radio channels they refer to anything else than whites as : other than " autre que " - nice radio code wouldnt you agree ), like its been said, their human , some are as stoopid and wouldnt deserve a gun nor authority like soem folks around here.

some people fishes for problem , i agree that they dont start the shit. but does that justify them for having no restriction about their actions afterwards ?

exposure will tell

Of course not. We're bound by our rights and liberties and that should be applied to everyone, at every level of "authority". No excessive force is ever okay. But if a guy starts throwing shit at the cop or struggling/fighting, it's only fair that the cop defends himself.

The world's not black and white.

I find generally if you know how to argue validly and with a minimum of aggression you can also win against the cops. Example: I was hanging out in Carré St. Louis with a few friends and typically, we were drinking. We had one exposed bottle. It was virtually empty. My friend was drunk, but so was the whole damn park, pretty obviously. I mean, it's Carré St. Louis! This first year rookie comes up to us and tells my friend he's in all this trouble, calls him a "esti de maudit tourist" and tells him to pour out the beer. My friend panicked a bit and couldn't deal with the yelling, and got up really slowly, obviously scared, while the cop started insulting and threatening him.

And you know what? He muttered something under his breath, the lady cop with him nodded and shrugged, and they left in a huff. We kept drinking.

Not saying everyone should attempt this, but if you can keep your cool and you know what you're talking about they will fear the possibility of legal repercussions. This sometimes even works in cases where you're totally in the wrong (we were breaking the law, but it was really not worth the paperwork), but you really have to know your rights.

I just make shure they see me memorise their badge number. Then proceed to talk it out in a calm manner.

i don't know

the girl who was beaten by that cop who turned off the camera is pretty sketchy

ok the girl seems drunk and out of control, but the fact that he turn off the camera to "neutralized" the girl is not right + i don't think that the girl really deserve to go in the hospital just for fighting for her rights, to have her phone call.

i don't know but there's alot of blood on the floor and it's a guy against a girl, im pretty sure a dude can control a girl without punching her so hard that the girl is laying down on her blood. And it's not a sexist comment, i would have said the same thing if it was a girl cop. they are train to deal with people who fights and how to neutralized them, not hitting them so hard to shut the fuck up.

but i agree, when a cops arrest you, the best is to play the naive card
I'm feeling kiss me, im shitface right now..

man rookies are the worse , if you think im short fuse and pretentious, you never seen a mtl rookie cop.

its like "their balls are dropping" all over again , like they needed that attitude for authority.

stupidity isnt authority, it leads to more human errors , and dangerous ones .

i said it before , last year a rookie group was walking on stlaurent and threw me insults because i ran to the moog audio because it was about to close : " ENWEILLE COURT COURT TI CASSE "

and you wnat to give them autority and guns to thoses jocks ?

most of the time it is the cops word against the person or persons that cried brutality, since not alot of peeps like cops in that certain hood or comunity and get on the band wagon and cry with them without even knowing what really happend.

Now days we have video everywhere but it only so happens that they caught the part where the police r so called *brutalizing* the person or persons involved. Then cry oh my god look what the cops did to me or them...Did u see what happened before for that person to get what they deserved??? Probably not so that is probably why most peeps don't Like the cops, because they don't know any better they just see what they want to

For sure, the fact that she was verbally arrogant / struggling does not excuse the excessive force he most likely used on her.

That video was horrible. I'm just stating that had she shut her mouth, it probably wouldn't have happened.

But it did and the guy should definitely be brought to justice the same way any violent civilian should be brought to justice.
