REHAB, NOT JAIL
If we want to balance the state budget, it might be worth looking into the
overcrowded prison system. If we could change the mandatory minimums laws,
we could treat drug offenders instead of giving long prison sentences, and
we could save the state and the nation billions of wasted dollars. It has
been proven that drug rehab works better than prison terms.
