ACT MAY GET INJECTING ROOM
AUSTRALIA'S second heroin injecting room could get the go-ahead in Canberra.
ACT Health Minister Simon Corbell will make a recommendation to Cabinet in
the next eight weeks on whether to establish a supervised injecting centre.
He had been waiting on an evaluation report on Sydney's King's Cross
medically supervised injecting centre trial, which found 554 drug overdoses
had been treated with no fatalities.
