2 COPS TAGGED AS DRUG USERS

Two Bacolod policemen were tagged yesterday as drug users by Senior Supt.
George Bajelot, director of the Bacolod City Police Office.

They are PO2 Wilson Go of the BCPO Intelligence Division and PO2 Harold
Villagracia of the Police Precinct 7. Summary hearings will be conducted on
the two, Bajelot said.

He said it is of public knowledge that the two policemen are drug users.
Villagracia was suspended from service after having been found positive for
drug use and for stealing shabu from the Crime Laboratory of the BCPO
December last year.

Go, on the other hand, is noted for his alleged illegal activities in the
city, Bajelot said.

Aside from Go and Villagracia, other policemen are being monitored by the
Intelligence officers.

The BCPO is expected to come up with the list of policemen who are
drug-users because, Bajelot said, he is not tolerating their acts. Their
campaign for illegal drugs will be useless if the PNP members are the ones
involved in the illegal drug operations, he added.

Meanwhile, Bajelot said he cannot determine yet how many policemen in
Bacolod City are protectors of the detained big-time drug lord, Jose Kim
"Boy" Cuadra.

Senior Supt. Felix Muchada, deputy regional director for administration had
earlier said there are 15 policemen in Region 6 identified to be protectors
of Cuadra's illegal drug trade in the province.

Bajelot yesterday denied reports that some Bacolod policemen are Cuadra
protectors, saying he has not monitored any.
