DAUGHTER ISN'T A DRUG DEALER

To The Editor:

This is in regard to the article by Lisa McDermott in the July 15
paper in which she quotes Judge Carlow's comments about my daughter,
Virginia Faulknor, and son-in-law, Michael. Carlow implied that she
was a drug dealer, which she is not and never has been. I feel those
comments were in retaliation to the lawsuit she filed against Bowie
County. The lawsuit was not about drugs, but about allegations of
false arrest and allegations of extreme police brutality practiced by
the sheriff/deputies on the night they raided Michael and Virginia's
home on Buchanan Road. This was an illegal search and no evidence of
drugs were found and no charges filed in connection with drugs. At no
time was my daughter convicted of manufacturing or selling drugs. She
has a clean record. All this adverse publicity has been of great harm
to Virginia, me and all of our family. God bless all of you.
