POLICE SHOULD CRACK DOWN ON DRUG DEALING IN PARK

I have lived 10 blocks away from Bigelow Park my entire life. It's no
secret that people meet there to sell and buy pot. Actually, it's said to
be the best place to go because no one seems to care and they know they
won't get caught. And I am willing to bet that even now, after a kind and
peaceful man has been killed there, it will still be widely used to traffic
the drug.

It is sickening to know what has become of the park. I used to play there
as a small child. As I got older, I would go in the summers, late at night,
to sit on the swings with my friends. I, or anyone else, could have been
there that night and witnessed a murder.

Our police need to crack down on drug dealers of all kinds, and the parents
in our community need to talk to their kids about drugs, especially
marijuana. You might think "not my kid," but the ones who seem least likely
to do it already are.
