DRUG CRACKDOWN NEEDED IN GLENWOOD AREA

I live in a mobile home park in the Glenwood area, and am amazed at the
drug dealing and use. It goes on, on a daily basis, and has for the past
year. This has been reported to Mercer County Sheriff Harold Buckner, and
the West Virginia State Police, but nothing has been done.

What does it take?

As a taxpayer, I feel that no one should have to live in this type
conditions. I would move today, but cannot afford it. Everyone who lives in
the area knows what's going on except the police.

I read in the paper where drug busts and arrests are taking place in
Tazewell and McDowell counties, but rarely in Mercer County.

Why do law enforcement in Mercer County turn their heads? Maybe this
explains why so many people are re-locating from McDowell to Mercer County.
Their illegal activity will go unpunished. It appears that the people
involved are the ones who don't work - since this goes on all day long.

I have always tried to be a good citizen, pay my taxes, and obey the law,
but it makes one wonder if that is the right way to go. It seems the more
criminal one is, the better off he/she is.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to clean up the drugs, please write
the paper. Reporting to the police is useless.
