BUSINESSES' HELP SOUGHT TO FUND ANTI-DRUG PUBLICATION

CHERRY VALLEY - The Cherry Valley Police Department wants local
businesses to help with the fight against drug abuse.

The department and LAW Publications will produce literature to
distribute to students, young adults and parents with up-to-date drug
awareness information.

Local businesses will be asked to purchase advertisements in the LAW
drug awareness book. The proceeds from the ads fund the production and
distribution of the literature.

LAW representative Ross Fascetta is assisting the department with the
program and will visit local businesses to ask for support.

"This program has had great success and support in many communities
and will be an excellent addition to the Drug Awareness Resistance and
Education program," police Chief Todd Houde said.

"The literature provided through the program is the most up-to-date
drug awareness information and is informative for all ages. Drug abuse
is the most serious issue facing our children today and we are taking
the first step in that fight by involving the businesses of Cherry
Valley, the community and the Cherry Valley Police Department."
