FOCUS ON MEDICAL MARIJUANA MAKES A MOUNTAIN OUT OF A MOLEHILL

Medical marijuana makes for great "special reports," but I have to say
some are really making a mountain out of a molehill. "Laws too vague,
officials say?" really portrays law enforcement and Marty Lambert as
little more than the Keystone Cops. If you have a driver's license,
you get to drive. If you are 21, you get to drink. If you are 18, you
can get married. If you have a medical marijuana card, you use medical
marijuana. If you have a fishing license, you can fish all year. How
vague is that? This is not rocket science.

Did we see a boom in bars when alcohol became legal? Probably. Has
there been a proliferation of hail damage repair outfits in town since
the hailstorm? Absolutely. Are cancer centers springing up all over
the country because more people are getting cancer? Yes. Didn't we all
watch half this county make a rush on bullets when the Democrats won
the last election? Oh yeah. Talk about "out of control."

If there was now a simple, legal way to handle one's pains, would not
many suffering folks want to try it? For sure. How many of you out
there have the stress and pains associated with hard manual labor? Or
working three jobs to meet the mortgage or Johnny's college tuition?
All you get from Vicodan or OxyContin and many of the other pain
killers is a raging headache, really fuzzy hangovers and the mother of
all constipation. The side effects aren't worth it; they create more
pain.

So if you find someone carrying without their card, do the same thing
you do when you find any of these others without their cards or
permits. Warn them or issue a citation. There's your "control"; don't
reinvent the wheel here, please.
