Mark Mukenthaler is right for the wrong reason when he states,"people
who run from the police have something to hide" [People who fee police
are innately suspicious," Letters, Jan. 14].

Unfortunately, in some circumstances the innocent run from the police
because they have something to hide - the color of their skin.
