ABOLISH DRUG WAR

I am not at all pleased with the results of the drug war. This country is
absolutely full of drug users and drug pushers. In every town and city,
there is a class of adults and youth that contributes absolutely nothing
productive to society because it has been allowed - in fact, encouraged -
to sell drugs rather than work at productive occupations.

I believe that this country's war on drugs is a disaster and should be
completely done away with. Here are three specific reasons:

1) The war on drugs creates an atmosphere of violence in this country.

2) It keeps drug offenders in prisons and jails while murderers and rapists
go free.

3) It increases rather than decreases drug use.

The war on drugs, in my view, does not work, and I think there are
reasonable grounds for its abolition.
