OFFICER ACCUSED OF HAVING AFFAIR, INCLUDING SEX IN SQUAD CAR, WITH DRUG
DEALER

SANFORD - A veteran Sanford police officer accused of supplying crack
cocaine to a drug dealer carried on a three-year relationship with him and
told investigators she was so infatuated she would do anything for him,
police said.

Officer Darlene Ladoczky is accused of having sex with drug dealer Antonio
Holley in her patrol car, providing him with cocaine to sell and
compromising a police investigation by giving him details.

In return, Ladoczky received money and became the paramour of the small-town
criminal, agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration testified
Thursday during Ladoczky's bail hearing.

Ladoczky was charged with conspiracy and lying to drug agents. Although she
told investigators she was infatuated with Holley, she denied giving him
drugs or having a sexual affair with him.

Investigators learned of the relationship after Holley was arrested last
October on drug charges. Investigators believe Ladoczky initially tipped
Holley off that detectives were coming to get him.

Phone records show Ladoczky called Holley hundreds of times a month,
including when undercover drug agents were making deals with Holley, said
Lee Madeam, a DEA agent.

Ladoczky, 34, also told Holley that his telephone conversations were being
monitored, notified him when police officers planned to search his home and
told Holley about investigative techniques, agents said.

At one meeting last summer, Holley told investigators, Ladoczky brought him
an ounce of cocaine she had obtained after "shaking down" drug dealers at a
public housing complex. Holley told investigators he later sold the drugs
for several thousands of dollars.

Ladoczky was released on $50,000 bond. The Sanford police department has
suspended her without pay from her job.
