GRIFFITH TELLS TALE OF DETOX ON WEB SITE

Melanie Griffith has been released from a California rehab facility
after a week-long stay for an addiction to prescription painkillers.

The 43-year-old actress is chronicling her detox process and recovery
on the Web at oneworldlive .com. The most recent entry reads: ''Hello
My Friends, I am home with my family now, after what was a rough
eight days! I will tell you my story in due time, but right now my
family needs me, and I need them. . . . Sending trillions of kisses!
Melanie.''

Griffith checked into Daniel Freeman Hospital in Marina Del Rey,
Calif., ''to step down from the prescribed medication I have been
taking for a neck injury.''

The actress, who is married to actor Antonio Banderas, has been
treated in the past for drug and alcohol addiction.
