EX-CUSTOMS AGENT JAILED A former Customs Service inspector was sentenced to 10 months in jail Monday for forging a memo that suggested a top U.S. border official aided smugglers by directing agents to quickly process trucks linked to a Mexican drug cartel. The memo, which surfaced in 1997, called for agents to quickly process trucks owned by a company that had been linked to drug cartels. Horner faxed the document to "60 Minutes" and to U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.
