KUBBY JURY STILL OUT; ONE CHARGE REJECTED AUBURN -- While jurors were deliberating the fate of medical marijuana advocates Steve and Michele Kubby on Friday, the judge who presided over their trial dismissed one more of the eight remaining counts against the pair. Placer County Superior Court Judge John L. Cosgrove adopted a defense request to dismiss a charge that the Kubbys were in possession of hashish on the day drug agents raided their Squaw Valley home and found 265 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. The jury still must decide if the Kubbys were guilty of seven other allegations, including two counts of conspiracy, cultivation and possession for sale, or if their grow was for personal medicinal use only. Deliberations will resume Monday morning.
