Personally, I've been growing and backuping a huge "download" folder over the years, where I keep all sorts of stuff like this.
I even have a shareware version of goldware dating from ~1999 :x 2megs mp3 editing software rock!

But yeah, I think this skin is included with the recent versions, isn't it?

Curiosity?
It really doesn't appear so strange to me. I can very well imagine being with a bunch of people, having a random discussion and arguing about the fine points of the consent age in Canada. Hell, I've had that discussion many times.

Sad to say, but on other message boards that I visit, with people of a wide variety of ages... I constantly see threads where grown adults, often over 40, need people's reassurance that it's okay to say "no" when people ask stuff of them and abuse their generosity.
When/if I have kids, I'll make sure they learn that respecting themselves is just as important as respecting the people around them. I don't want to raise a doormat.

Yoshin: yes, absolutely. But watching over each other doesn't mean that we should excuse the (potential) abusers' behaviour (I'm talking in general terms here. Again, somehow, I don't know the guy whose name is in the topic except from seeing his gazillion of "me + someone else" portraits).

However, contrary to some people here, I think that some people need to have not-so-cool shit happen to them in order to truly learn. But then the perpetrator of these acts is only destiny's tool and most definitely doesn't deserve personal thanks x)

Just as well... A conversation is a conversation, it flows. I've never quite understood the whole "stick to the topic" thing. Unless it's a technical forum where people are looking for troubleshooting info... no point in letting a thread die or creating a gazillion threads just because we're straying away from the premise of the OP :p

Of course it's possible, but you still "evolved" in some ways, yes? Handling shit better, having better insight, that's all part of it too :)

Because of course, it's always the most mature people wearing short short skirts, showing the most cleavage and doing the most drugs?

You're not old enough to have entirely forgotten how young girls often times do these things PRECISELY because they are not mature, or because they are (unconciously?) confusing sex and attention with respect and love, etc. etc. etc. ... no need to have felt this way yourself: we've all witnessed this around us in high school.

Maturity hasn't always set in and growing up still occurs, in leaps and bounds. Being in a relationship where one goes through this process and one has gone through it ages ago most often results in problems, hardships and so on.

To be blunt, the older person often ends up blaming the younger one for his or her inexperience/immaturity and this often causes relationship issues. I think this is the big problem with age differences.

Morally, I also think that an adult should let a teenager fully mature before attempting to have a intimate relation. There is something creepy in attempting to "raise" a girlfriend or boyfriend; you'll usually find that the older partner in this case is either at the same maturity level (has never progressed past teenagehood) or a very controlling person. These are other reasons why such couplings are frowned upon. There are exceptions to this, of course, as there is in everything. I once met a couple where the girl was 18 and the guy was 35. They're still together today, 8 years later.

As people age, the age difference becomes less and less important. A difference 24-30 isn't as potentially dangerous as a 16-22 difference, for instance. We reach a certain "wisdom plateau".

For the tl;dr people, I think the main reason why these relationships are seen as creepy, is that underaged people are more vulnerable to adult influences and thus the older partner will often have the possibility of abusing this influence. The fact that exceptions exist doesn't change the fact that many underaged partners have been mentally abused in this fashion...

+ 10000000
And this is why I don't date under 24 anymore. haha

(Though of course the learning process should be ongoing throughout one's life, but early adulthood is something else.)

Does he really hit on every remotely attractive girl, though? Because yeah, if I was put in such a situation, I would indeed find it creepy, in the sense that it would make me feel like a walking vagina. NOT flattering in the slightest.
