Moondancer I visited the WTC skyscrappers a couple of months before it got hit, so yeah I felt a stronger emotional connection than what happened to indonesia. On a sidenote, I strongly believe 9/11 was a insider job, but hey whether it was El Qaeda, CIA, Mossad or even Martians doesnt change a thing about the fact that innocent people died, and they didnt suddenly disappear because of a waking volcano or a moving tectonic plate, no they died because of hate and lust of power.

That makes a world of difference in my book.

And frankly, I live in Quebec and most people here just dont give a flying **** about what happened on 9/11, I dont know about the rest of canada, but I'm pretty sure there aint a lot of canadians who shed a tear on each anniversary.

Historically a lot of americans were pro nazi/german, whether because they had german forefathers or because they were ideologically inclined to support the fascism, the famous colonel Lindbergh - first pilot to cross the atlantic solo- for example was a friend of Hermann Goering and even got a German Eagle; a Luftwaffe medal of honor. Heck he even lobbied to make sure the USA stays out of the war in Europe.

Also, known companies such as IBM, through its German subsidiary helped supply the nazi with tools to track down the Jews during the Holocaust, furthermore IBM has refused to apologize for its collaboration and didnt even try to deny its implication in the Shoah.

I'm not saying it excuses Bush, just that supporting fascism and dictatorial regimes isnt a monopoly of the Bush family, to the contrary its a long time practice in the US elite circles.

On a final note, Georges "Dubya" Bush was a drunkard until his early 40's oO

I think there is a difference between a natural disaster and a terrorist attack, even tho I feel sad for both, from a political perspective 9/11 was a pivotal and much more important event, plus it was much closer to home than the tsunami for example.
