What up yall! Jeff Hunter here to present you with a copy of my set from Blueshift! This set features the vocal accompaniment of MC Hyde who also hails from the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Please download this set when you’ve got a few minutes and give it a listen! Let me know what you think of it! Blueshift was a festival style camp out music party which was reminiscent of the classic Midwest outdoor parties of the Further series. Blueshift was even held at one of the outdoor camping venues that the Further Festival was at in central Wisconsin. The event went from Friday the 6th of August to Sunday the 8th of August and featured hundreds of dj’s from around the U.S.A. The most notable headliners included dj Spree, Skylab 2000, Dan Efex, Paul Anthony, Alex Peace and Bam Bam, Josh “The Funky 1”, and Submerge 101. There were also some 200 other dj’s from the surrounding states who were there representing their respective crews. There was a lot going on during this three day event with lots of memorable things going down. Most notably was the 7:00 am Saturday wakeup call of a wikked nasty hardcore track being played on the largest local crew sound system. It was like an alarm clock except that it shook you out of bed! Good times indeed! Here is a direct link to the mix on my website >>> [ ] Hunter with MC Hyde – Live @ Blueshift 080704 Here is the track listing for the mix! Hello breakbeat fans! Jeff Hunter back with some more broken beat jams for you to listen too! Please download this set when you’ve got a few minutes and give it a listen! Let me know what you think of it! This mix was recorded live at the Baja Riverside nightclub in Minneapolis on Saturday, July 24th, 2004 at an event called Happy Trails. This party was thrown in the honor of dj Madkid from Minneapolis who is one of the original jungle/drum n’ bass dj’s from the Midwest USA. Madkid along with the rest of the Jungle Vibe Collective were one of the first dj crews to promote jungle music in the Midwest. This event was MadKid’s last Minneapolis performance and going away party because the next day he moved to California. The event was slamming and featured two rooms of Jungle and Drum n’ Bass music and a 3rd room that featured alternate genres. People were having so much fun that the police officer making the rounds was asked to come into the club to kick people out at closing time! I was in the alternate genre room doing my breakbeat thing, there were people jamming to my set and having a good time, especially those who needed a break from the high tempo drums and bass in the other rooms. It was a night to remember! Here is a direct link to the mix on my website >>> Jeff Hunter – Live @ Happy Trails 072404 Here is the track listing for the mix! Greetings all! My name is Jeff Hunter and I'm posting this message to let you know about a live breakbeat mix that I have available for free download on my webiste. Please check it out and let me know what you think! I'm always looking to improve myself and hopefully some of your opinions and thoughts can help me do that! This set was recorded live at an event called Children of the Revolution, which was put together by DC Productions and Genius of Fun. This was an old school Minneapolis style rave! It was on the second and third floors of an old warehouse building in northeast Minneapolis. It was hot, grimy, smoky, packed full of dirty ravers, loud as hell, and totally awesome. Headliners included ESP Woody McBride, Spree and ADB, Tron, Delta 9, Thee-o, and tons of other Midwest superstar dj’s. The recording has some gaps and a special visit by an unknown MC, it’s all good though because it will give you a better impression of how the event sounded live. The house was packed and the rig that I was playing on cut out near the end of the set but the night was great!!! Here is a direct link to the set. >>> Jeff Hunter – Live @ Children of the Revolution – 060404 Tracklisting: Brooklyn To Brixton (Freestylers 'Raw As Fuck' Remix) - Freq Nasty - Skint Labrat – Backdraft – Passenger Gravelmuncha (Distortionz Remix) – dj Quest – Cyberfunk Bazzface Killah - Mad Ox - Mantra Breaks Break Out - Masked Mullet - Drum + Breaks Creepshow (Freestylers Remix) - Plump DJs - Finger Lickin' Impending Boom - Hard Hop Heathen & John Kelley - Tricked Out Breathe Deep - Dave London - Alternation I Want Your Heart – FEX - Marine Parade Break In - Bent Coppa - Proper Records Future Sound of Retro (Remix) - Lee Coombs - Finger Lickin' Bring That Sound – Nubreed - Mob All I Want ('Freedom Avenue' Mix) - Paul Hamill - Alternative Route Cobra (Chris Carter Remix) - Aquasky vs. MasterBlaster – Passenger Thanks so much for your time!
