TASK HORIZON

Task Horizon was founded in 2004 by Aaron von Schroeder and Jonas Ullmann. From day one these guys were destined to be a house hold name, and they did not disappoint. Task Horizon have made some monster tunes, such as Vicious Circle, Bush Walker, Feel For You, and of course not forgetting, the floor shaker, speaker beating, Come Forward. Which had Ram Records very own Shimon and new protégée Bone Shaker dropping their own unique emphasis on. Come forward picked up support from every major Dj in the Scene. And sealed Task Horizon’s future in Drum and Bass.

Over the years, Task Horizon have successfully become a well-known name in the Drum and Bass scene in Zurich - with their long-time DJ residencies at the legendary Rohstofflager -, but also on an international basis with frequent gigs in Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg, Holland as well as in the United States and other parts of the world.

In late 2008, Jonas and Aaron Decided to go their separate ways. Aaron is continuing under the Name Task Horizon. He has also signed a publishing deal in 2009 with one of the Uks finest publishers, and is very happy in doing so. “This is a great opportunity" he says, "and a chance to get my music on to Tv, films, games, and adverts.”

Task Horizon have had support, from all the key players, in Drum and Bass. This includes Pendulum, Hype, Ed Rush and Optical, Bad Company, Optiv, and Andy C. Task Horizon have had releases on labels like Timeless, DSCI4, Dangerous New Age, Circle, Sudden Def and Habit, to name a few.

There is more to come from Task Horizon, in the near future. I can promise you that.



MC TEMPER

Temper aka Tempz is an MC/Vocalist/Song-writer from Bremen/Germany. In the past 8 years he has performed at several hundred events Switzerland, the United States, Russia, Croatia, Holland, France and all over Germany. He has hosted the sets of almost every big player on the worldwide Drum & Bass circuit, such as Andy C, Pendulum, Goldie, Hype, Noisia, BSE, Adam F, High Contrast, Spor and Raiden, to name but a few.

His motto and live concept is "less is more", as he let's the music breath and seeks for the perfect moments to combine it with his various flows/lyrics and getting the crowd involved.

In 2007 he participated at the annual POPKURS - a contact studies at Hamburg's University for Music & Theater. There he had a chance to work with and get to know all sorts of musicians with a lot of different musical backgrounds, instruments, ages and home-towns across Germany. And the courses held by professionals in their field healped to improve his vocal-, recording-, band leading- & performance-, but most of song-writing-skills.

In the last few years he spend more and more time in the studio and was busy collaborating with various DnB producers like Task Horizon & Silent Extent from Switzerland, C.V.I from Russia and mSdoS & MJT Code from Greece. Next to that he's working on several projects in the musical genres of Hip-Hop, Rock, Dubstep, Nu Breakz, Electro, House, Trip-Hop and UK Garage.

During the week he is working as a booking agent for a couple of international DnB, Electro, Nu Breaks & Dubstep artists. He is also the founder and tour manager of the infamous CATCH DEM IF YOU CAN TOUR, which lead him and a few of his partners in crime to performances in places like Switzerland, Russia, Holland, Croatia and the United States. Often he was the first german (not only) Drum and Bass MC to perform in those areas.

2010 is going to be a great year for Temper, as he has a lot in the pipeline. For example organizing and attending a few international tours and worldwide gigs with his various projects, next to several releases, such as Milk67's cross-over album "3001XL", which he features. Furthermore his first solo Hip-Hop EP featuring american, swiss & german beats, a couple of Drum & Bass, Nu Breaks & Dubstep tracks, as well as a few mixes and last but not least - his debut album, which will be a cross-genre album and will consist of Hip-Hop and all the music styles he is working with.

Bio:

By the power of grey skull this dj is no joke! Conquering all sights and sounds of the disc-jockey world, Dj Capital J has been a triple threat since the age of 13 when he first showed the decks who’s boss. Trained strictly as a battle DJ, Caps dominated his home town of London Ontario's scratch & mix competitions, where he remained undefeated & king of the dance for all of his adolescent years, while his production skills, even at such a young age earned him opening slots for supreme legends of hip-hop including Ice-T & Evil E, RUN DMC, EPMD, Red Man and tons more before he even left high school. His wide appreciation for music kept him locked on every sound that appealed to him, from hip-hop to hip-house up to breakbeat hardcore down to the rave then off to the jungle, Caps was on top of it all, mixing and producing oldskool jams that shook down the walls of London till there was nothing left, then eventually packing up his arsenal of dubplates and gunning straight for Toronto. When Caps aka ‘Public Enemy 1’, arrived on the front steps of Toronto Canada in ‘97, he instantly took the D&B scene by storm, Scratching records with his elbows, feet and chin all while introducing the world to his (now infamous) style of jump-up head crushing D&B with an arsenal of home grown Dub-plates & remixes.Within two months of his arrival he was crowned DJ of the month by TRIBE magazine, who followed things up by releasing the magazines top selling mix tape ever from a Feature Dj, as well headlining the peak of the legendary Canadian party scene from east to west. Then Caps made his American debut in Philadelphia PA leaving the crowd in shock and amazement at what they just witnessed on stage. He Single handedly turned the North American Drum & Bass Party scene upside down, changing the game that opposing djs brought to the tables. From Canada to the UK, top djs stepped up their skills, selection and stage presence to compete with the new blood tearing up the scene. Over the years, J has been releasing his ever growing monster sound on such labels as Food for thought, Phobic, Wikkid, N20, Mix N Blen, SRM, Frozen, Gangsta Gun, Ruff Soldier Select Records and so ..ing with such floor mashers as The Throw Down, Niagara Falls featuring MC Fats, Bumbaclot, Mr. Mister, featuring hip-hop all-star (his lil bro) Ron B, the classic riot starter Ante Up Remix, sound clash anthem Dis Da Program, UK smash Evil Streets, the Wikkid Recs Camouflage Series which contained 4 singles, Jackmode, Whos Dat, Beat Boxin and Lock Jaw, followed by the even heavier Bling Series unleashing the Throwdown RMX. All releases mashed up the globe with an amazing response from Europe, US & Canada also receiving a lot of heavy play from the UK’s top Dj’s plus BBC’s 1xtra, KOOL Fm and a long list D&B radio, mixtape & internet mix shows everywhere.

Bio Spor:

Sounding from England and at just 22 years of age, Spor has quickly risen to the forefront edge of Drum & Bass production.
After being introduced to Drum & Bass through a friend around four years ago, Jon began experimenting with software to
create his own music. His friend Codex took interest and before long they were producing as 'Final Reckoning', skipping off
school to work on tracks, with early influence coming from artists such as Hive, Ram Trilogy and Bad Company.
This alias saw a lot of early progress and development take place, and soon differencing Universities meant that distance &
time was an issue and Final Reckoning found it to hard to collaborate.
Jon took on his solo moniker 'Spor', a tag name derived from a combination of one of the first folders of samples he obtained,
entitled 'Spore Tactics', and a favourite piece of artwork by a friend (see [ www.monaux.com ] Graffiti outlining eventually meant
he would drop the 'e' to leave a more balanced arrangement.
Spor saw a debut release on the 'Damaged Minds' imprint, after friend and early mentor Murphy introduced him to Damage.
This was a huge incentive to pursue harder, and soon Spor had attracted further attention. After being headhunted by Chris
Renegade, he landing himself an exclusive deal with one of Drum & Bass' most prestigious labels Renegade Hardware, and
leading-edge label Barcode. This opened up DJ opportunities, and after playing his first ever set at London's 'The End Club’,
Spor has continued to play across the globe.
2005 saw Spor's remix of Konflict's 'Messiah' and his debut EP for Renegade Hardware.
2006 has seen Spor depart from the TOV Music Group to form part of the newly emerging and exciting Lifted Music collective,
as well as tracks on Subtitles, a project for Evol Intent Recordings and Planet Mu.

In recent years Chris Renegade has played a major role in pushing the boundaries of Drum & Bass, signing and releasing some
of the scene's most influential dancefloor tracks through the legendary Renegade Hardware & Barcode Labels.

of Chris' keen ear for ingenuity, quality engineering and diverse musical content.

Chris Renegade regularly tours around the world to aid promotion and push the music he loves and knows so well. He has

He is still setting the pace as he keeps moving forward with his new endeavour LEGACY with partners DJ Prime and producer/DJ Gremlinz. Manager at Play De Record in Toronto, Canada, he works there full time as well as having many residencies all over the city of Toronto. He was involved in his own production company throwing parties under the name Threshold Productions, was also a partner with C64 and others in helping with the record label Make:Shift Recordings and helps out with the Selection nights with Theory at the Guvernment nightclub. Recently coined as one of Denise Benson's top ten people in Toronto music for 2006 to watch out for!!! Bio:

Le groupe est créé en 1999 par Damny et Arnaud, avec pour « mission » de produire un nouveau rock, réunifiant son histoire (riffs de guitare puissant) et son futur (les programmations électroniques).

Ils se révèlent fin 2004, en tournant avec Manu Chao au Brésil. Très vite s’enchaînent concerts, festivals en France et en Europe, où le public va découvrir et succomber au mélange «électro-rock musclé et hymnes revendicatifs » distillé sur scène.

Leur implication artistique et citoyenne les conduit en 2005 à lancer avec le navigateur Jo Le Guen un mouvement citoyen appelé « Colère Noire » (alliant musique live, débats d’idées et actions pacifiques), en réaction au désastre de l’Erika sur les côtes Bretonnes. La récente décision de justice condamnant lourdement Total est un encouragement à cette « résistance organisée » de la société civile contre les puissantes organisations.

Concert après concert, forum après forum, La Phaze attire de plus en plus de monde. L’album « Fin de cycle » sort en 2005 et se vend à plus de 20 000 copies. La Phaze a ainsi poursuivi son aventure par la scène, voyageant en Amérique du sud et dans toute Europe (180 concerts en 2 ans et demi), et vient de terminer une tournée européenne de 30 dates avec les nouvelles stars new-yorkaises de Gogol Bordello [ www.myspace.com ]

A l’évocation de cette tournée, le bien nommé « No Bullshit Tour » (30 concerts en 40 jours dans 16 pays européens, dans un van où les 3 musiciens et leur sonorisateur se relaient au volant pour aller de capitales en capitales), on appréhende vraiment l’histoire et l’essence du groupe…celle d’un commando prêt a tout pour exister.

Cette période forte, faite de rencontres et d’action servira en tout cas de trame à l’écriture du prochain album !
