I really love the scene with all my heart and have been plur-tastic all my life.. i live in a little plur-tastic castle, my plur-puppy and my plur plur.

What i find funny though is people who start thread's to "wash there hands" thinking that this is a good way to do it.. but reality is that, it's about just as bad as hiring a goon to have someone killed, they saying "i don't kill, i'm plur-tastic".

something positive for this thread would be to definatly ban bliss !! Skrewhead, please contribute to our scene in a positive manner.. let's not live in this blissful ignorance.

it's expensive and only 1 room for Dj's (the other room should NOT be used for music). You have to add sound to that room and equipement. your better off renting the Level in laval for that price really...

it's a nice place though and close to my house so, maybe it's not soo bad after all.

i didn't say "you GOT what you paided for" i said "you GET what you pay for" .. you still didn't say where you went to get your tires changed.. if you went to the "garage du coin" or to an actual dealer, if it was done by a friend or a cousin.. did he give you a good price or was he expensive compaired to other mechano's ??

what that mean's is, when you go to McDo for a burger, don't expect to get the fillet mignon burger for the same price as a double cheeze burger.

and with all that said, i'm not saying you went to a low-grade place, it's just a theory. don't take it personal. :)

the problem with the 2nd room monitor was that the power plug was really loose and kept falling out of it's socket. i fixed it a few times during the night.

my favorit comment of the night was "no, don't turn the monitor on, it's skipping" !!

I can easily and equally say the same for alot of francos. Note I said some. If you want to keep credibility, try not to generalize. I am an anglo who speaks more than 1 language and wish i spoke more. Even my family in Ontario (born and raised) are all bilingual.

Whenever i decide to talk about the exeptions like your family and mine, you can jump in. I was however refering to the vast majority of anglos, hence the generalisation.

Naw man, you dont get it, it still makes you a hypocrite if you're trying to preach injustices while committing them yourself. I really doubt you've asked 'the vast majority of anglos' so really, get over yourself, let facts talk, not your ego.

You read way to much shit into what i write... ego driven post? preach injustice?
I believe you are projecting.
You are allowed to dissagree but calling me a hippocrite will get you nowhere.
If you dissagre, it would be nice if you brought a little more than your family tree to the table as your main argument.

Why I said what i did: Of course personal experience is a factor. I have family across Canada, most unilingual anglo exept for my imediate family witch is bilingual. Its not like they wouldnt like to speak french but give them the choice between a french lesson and a potery lesson...
I have been across Canada sevral times for work and for pleasure and i have come across the same attitude in about every province west of Quebec. Its mind boggling, I have met more bilingual Americans than Canadians. Anglo Canadians west of Quebec seem to have a passive agressive attitude towards french and are most of the time pissed to have to learn such a useless second language.
Whenever anyone bitches about the federal law forcing bilingualism on all civil servants, it's almost always unilingual anglos.

I am not saying part of the french canadians arent reluctant to learn english but almost half the province of Quebec is bilingual. I dare anyone to find as high a ratio in any other province. [ www40.statcan.gc.ca ]

I'm not trying to be negative, just sharing my personal experiance and some numbers.

Databoy : No_comply tend's to do that alot to people.. then rebuttling with "your so defensive" but not realising that he just kicked you in the nuts after your statement. it's normal that, after that, you take your guard.

i don't think they were the same item catogory.. one was CD's (from China) and the other was a wifi card that fits in a regular envelope (from the USA).

you find it normal Colin to pay more for shippements from the US then from China ? the DHL fee's were much less coming from China !!

and yes, you can use "gift" for packages of value under 60$'s ONLY from person to person. UPS suggested i have my shipper change the bill to reflect HER personal name as apose to the company so i can get it refunded. if they can refund something, it pretty much mean's it's all profit in the first place.

AND, Canada post works the EXACT same way UPS does when charging you duties.. the only work-around is "air Mail" but that usualy takes forever !!!

i understand the idea behind paying for customs, BUT, UPS's fee's are 75% higher than all the other companies.

the perfect proof :

I placed two orders,

- one from amazon, total weight, 1 pound, price 49USD (p.s. Masa, no, it wasn't avaliable in canada). shipped UPS.

- one from Hong Kong, total weight 7 pounds, value 33.18USD, Shipped DHL

fee's for UPS were 40.22 CAN
fee's for DHL were 11.61 CAN.

BIG Different for small differences.. :)

Hey everyone, i’m not the type to complain about things and i am aware that this has nothing to do with this websites content, but i just had to express myself on this matter…

BOYCOTT shipping ANYTHING with UPS !!!

I placed an order on [ AMAZON.com ] for total purchase value of 49US $.. it was a shippement from USA to Canada. My value included shipping fee’s already of aprox 15US $. When my package arrived, they had me pay 40.00$ CAN extra for BROKERAGE FEE’s. This was outragous and only UPS charges such ridiculous amounts. We all agree that duty has to be paid but to charge an extra 85% of total value on brokerage fee’s is just as bad a fraud.

BOYCOTT UPS, please, as a business or individuals !!

sorry for the rant !! party-on !!

i dunno,

lets take version's advise (at least half)

here are our options :

- vote charest, the one who's lied at many times to us, who once believed that canada should be Conservative (like Harper, with harper, HE FUCKEN IS HARPER), he's fucken ugly and his commercial's are too cheezy and his ego is bigger than his belly.

- vote for Mario.. well, i did last time around because he was the "change" i was looking for. now, after his period of glory, i've realised that it was a wasted vote and wouldn't really benifit QUEBEC.

- then we have this party, that includes that QUEBEC name in it, that sometimes speak's of seperation (but it would never happen even if they win), there heart's are in quebec and they only want good for quebec people.. yeah, it's a girl who's face is at the front, but that's okay, lets not be sexist now..

- all the other parties would be a vote for the liberals... please take that into consideration when voting.

the choice is clear to me.. you can keep talking about "his team is bigger than there team" or "experience" but i like to look at "who's done what in the past" (not 100 years ago, just 8-10 is far back enough for me) !!!!
