i spoke to the police departement when i was thinking about doing Rewire at l'ETS and they bascially told me that we can do whatever we want as long as it's not on a regular basis. so the idea to rent out a place every month is good but it would definatly attrack problems and it would end up getting closed (unless you get proper afterhour papers)..

Psytrance / Goa is one of the Worlds most healthiest scenes still around (without hitting the mainstream music industry). There are still HUGE amounts of festival's that attract thousands of people. Even in Montreal / Quebec, it's pretty much the only scene still alive (regarding festivals that is).

Sabi said it best really : Goa was more inclined towards melodies and elastic-type kickdrums, giving more "tock" and less "phump" in the kick departement. Usually goatrance did not have the rolling basslines like todays modern psytrance does.

I find it hard to believe that psytrance had a negative impact on the rave scene. if anything, it's what kept things going when times were tough and the proof is the strength of the psytrance scene today.

I mean, if the jew's are focusing on psytrance more than any other musical style, there must be a future.. ;) LOL

i wouldn't go that far. Bandito's Live was pretty fun but the dj before him was terrible (cool tracks but trainwrecked almost every mix. the guy's after Bandito's was pretty pumpin at the opening of there set but got real cheezy near the end. I didn't hear BC cause i took off durring the guys who opened for them.
