...

*blink*

dude. The sample pack fucking blows. Like, seriously, hardcore.

The ONLY way it could have been worse is if the whole things consisted of 808 Kick.wav, 909 Snare.wav, 909 OHat.wav, 909 CHat.wav, etc.

I mean, the reece sounds good, but, it's ONE NOTE! You can't use that more than 4-5 semi-tones apart without it starting to sound like ass.

Fortunately, I'm installing Melodyne... ;)

But like, I am sooooo expecting to have to prove that I used the samples and no VSTi's. I'm using the stabs to make melodies and the pad I'm using 4 octaves lower through 10 effects just to make it useable.

I could have farted out a better sample-pack than this.

yeah, i don't like the sample pack either. i have a sound going on in the NNXT using a mili-second of a snare drum repeating at mad fast rates, (oscillating) with a long release. it sounds like a harpsichord when i play it with the keyboard.
i love science!

yeah, thats true, it fucked up the stereo spread of the drum loops. i much would have rathered a solid kick sample and solid snare sample than those badly manicured loops, but whatever, it'll be a challenge. i like using strange sample tricks. i once made a fat-ass bassline out of a fraction of eminem's voice~

yeah, I'm having to run everything through 2 mixer chanels and the send loops to make anything sound decent.

heh, the sample pack was just poorly put together. I refuse to believe that this took more than 5 minutes to compile.

PS, I'm going to own this totally. :D

part of being a good producer is knowing what samples suck and not using them

The whole samplepack must be used, we can't not use them. It's fucking retarded. The only way some of them are useable is if they're pitched down 2-4 octaves and processed to high hell.

grr.

*gets back to work*

my Studio Monitors tell me that the samples are badly manicured and some of the breakbeats have a fucked up stereo-spread.
so do HAVE TO use EVERY SAMPLE, or can we leave one or two out?
