oh dear

Hi. Im 15 years old. and hooked on meth.

Since everyone seems SO DAMN INTERESTED AND CONCERNED about youngsters on meth why dont I EXPLAIN PROPERLY how it happend, in my case anyway... Because it was certainly not by someone shoving it in my fucking face. at all.

Ok so, its a beautiful summer day (uhuh oh yeah)
and my friends, all older then me, much older than me, have been talking about doing this weird thing called "a meth binge" and im like "aww shit. not this shit again, meth is EEEEEEVIL."
and these older friends are all like "yeah it is."
But whatever, they can do whatever they like. Yeah it pisses me off but hey, its THEIR choice.

Then, one night, SHIT HAPPENED. Like personal shit. little peices of my world crumbling down styles.

The evilness of meth didnt seem so... evil anymore. Escaping by taking something I KNEW could ruin my life, and KNEW what it did to people (change in behavior, personality) seemed appealing. The consequences? what-ever. What I was living then seemed worth the destruction of it all.

So I call up *insertnamehere*, invite myself over (no luering). She hesitated, because she CARED and was concerned about my young age. But couldnt refuse because, well, thats the way a friendship works.

aaaaaaanyway. So I get there. I sit. 15 minutes later? Im asking for my first hit.

ASKING FOR IT.

fuck.

oh and scotty- the last thing I need right now is someone feeling bad for me. You dont know me, you dont know half of my fucking problems. have nice life.

I believe at that age a person is conscious enough to understand the consequences of their actions,... if not than 16 year olds wouldnt be on trial as adults in court cases for murder or whatever...

Age signified your length of existance, not the extent of your maturity or intelligence.

This is exactly the problem... older people giving the wrong ideas to younger ones who don't understand the consequences...

It's good that you said you are hooked on meth, admitting it is the first step toward recovery.

In response to Pixie's post, It is my firm belief that a great majority children nowadays are educated on drugs prior to age 10 either through their parents, school, or television. I can't believe a person can wake up one day and go try heroin, coke, meth or any other highly addictive drug not knowing that there have been many studies proving their potentially high risks of addiction (psysical and/or psychological).

People understand the potential consequences of trying something (innacurately described as 'safe') like weed or mush for the 1st time and although they may not be physically addictive its the 1st step... more often than not people simply get bored and move onto the next level of curiosity prehaps neglecting the previous knowledge they had on addictive substance abuse... or maybe these people are so dillusional that they believe if that they have the power to maintain control and not allow the drug(s) to control them.

I would also like to stress that although weed may be labeled as a "gateway drug" that doesnt justify going to the next level and I for one am proud not to be a part of that statistic. I've never touched anything beyond weed/hash nor would I and this can only be attributed to the fact that I'm more disciplined than those of you who do (which is your choice respectfully)... I simply dont justify heavy drug users as people who are more easily influenced by peer pressure because its not valid justification. A person who truly doesnt want to do something that may cause bodily harm to themselves wont.

If you give in to peer pressure than you're a victim,...not a victim of society but a victim of your own inner fear and lack of control.

Either regain control or live with the consequences of your actions but nobody else can regain control for you.

I think the biggest gateway drug, at least in the rave scene, is K, not weed. K seems to be the first step for a lot of people.

Scott, this debate is meant to display the level of peer influence on drug use within our society not the rave scene specifically.

Unless raving is your entire life in which case you have bigger problems to deal with prior to your drug habits.

Scott, this was your original post...
Now take note that not every post in every forum is rave-related (eventhough yes, we're on ravewave). I judge a thread's (intended) topic based on A] the subject box: "vigilantism vs. dealers" and B] the initial post... at which point the topic changes as the thread moves along...

If you wanted to discuss the effect dealers have on friends & loved ones concerning raves specifically, than you should mention that in your post, or choose a more suitable forum ie "Parties & Events" or "Party Reviews"

i'm gonna be my lighthearted self as usual for a second here...

DO ME, NOT DRUGS!

simple and easy (me that is)

i'm only slightly addictive
but i don't cost a thing,
and, theres no side effects

plus, i'll be around long after your buzz, that's for sure

aaand

you won't die if you overdose, you'll just kinda frustrated with me, and don't worry, i'm very understanding even then...

Gordo, free the first time, and every time after that

alright, sorry, i'm just messin'
