I forgot to mention that I'm also not a DJ but be advised that it in no was diminishes my status. I make music periodically for my own personal enjoyment but not for commercial or promotional purposes.

Yah, same here Phoenix... Making music for the fun of exploring sounds!!! :D
I mean, nothing professional, just little tunez on FruityLoops... :P

(I thought about it, making a website for all the kids who make nonprofessional music... They could post their tunes on the site and give each other advices and stuffs...)

if I wanted to get chickes by being a dj, I wouldn't be playing hard-tech....I'd play jungle or booty or house....or maybe even Trance.....anything else a girl would be more attracted to......how many girls really like Techno, that you know of?.....or that are around my age? 'cause the one's I've met are usually older....the older ones are the Prog fans.....they could be my mother! hahahahaha

*nods* Finally someone whjo understand what music is all about,.. most people out there just do it for the superficialities of cash, women or publicity... eventually almost everyone sells out. not me, I do it for the love of music...

Aside from electronic umsic I listen to many other genres as well ranging from rock, grunge, metal, ska, hip-hop, classical, and jazz.

Yeah, Phoenix, me I'm more into electronica and new wave...
Other styles don't really make me trip as much as electronic music does... Don't know why...

Anyway. Yeah, the real thing about making music is not to get some kind of fame, it's to put your feelings and vision of world through sounds, and then share it with others...

That was a long long time ago fred... lost all my levels when my 486 crashed completely. There was one i worked on thereafter which was good until Zdoom came out which fucked up some aspects of the pwad since jumping was implemented into the game which makes a big difference when selecting floor & ceiling heights and would give the player access to area which were previously inaccessable

Once Doom 3 is out i'm gonna get my hands on the 1st wad editor i can find and make the total conversion I've always wanted to.

I usually prefer instrumental music alone however I've adapted to alot of hip-hop and gained a powerful respect for the poetic lyrical content of some songs,... I don't listen to that gansta shit ie: "I'm a kill yer bitches & fuck your mothers...". I find its unfortunate that this is the impression that alot of people get from rap and that theres nothing else aside from cheesy bass-filled beats but truthfully I would recommend that those who havent yet learned to appreciate hip-hop to dig a little more because some metaphores and puns will simply blow your mind... remember that aside from gagngsta-rap there's also urban-poetry.... the beat is secondary

heh, that would completely kick ass. :D I can't wait for Doom3, I want to get into that thing and edit the crap out of it.

Hey, maybe we could do a TC of Doom3 to Doom1 and 2. :lol

We can extract all the map data from the original pwads and load them into some editors to get the level layouts...

In Doom 3, I'm really hoping that there's something akin to the Cyberdemon. Man I remember how much that thing used to scare the shit out of me when I was playing at night on Nightmare...

The levels will more than likely be compatible although since doom, doom 2, heretic & hexen all run off the same engine. It would be somewhat boring to play a doom3 level designed to look like doom 1 or 2 however due to the fact that the originals were all pseudo-3d and technically the sectors dont have a height, only a virtual height which renders the platforms at the "viewing height" specified... this is why you cant aim up or down in doom... shooting straight would still hit an imp appearing on a 'higher' platform so long as you're facing that direction horizontally...

hopefully the editing tools will be simple to use like wadauthor, waded, dehacked etc...
