Maybe you can help me, as you know i have a freshwater tank for tropical fish. When i bought some fucking plants from nature pet center, a bunch of snail eggs latched onto the plants.
Now my tank is constantly infested with snails. The copper solution kills the snails, but not the eggs... you know of anything i can do to kill em all? |

live plants are a time bomb if you have sand in your tank... even if you dont actually
they eat up all the nitrates/nitirites... which is good since these are harmful for the fishies... but they dont get rid of it, they just store it... so if ever, for some reason, your plant should die... say bye to EVERYTHING in your tank... EVERYTHING... if you have sand, the nitrates will slowly be released... poisoning everything slowly before killing them (within an hour) and if you dont have sand or an undergravel filter, it takes minutes before death ive witnessed this happen in a reef tank... i cried... about 1700$ worth of corals just melted in minutes.. it was like a nuclear blast... all the fish died within an hour... |

i didnt witness the whole thing.. i jsut saw the melted corals and i saw the last fishy die...
the guy who owns the tank called me and i had to rush over (made me a nice 300$ after expenses) but it wsa still all very tragic... i dont like to see stuff die like that but thats the price people pay for going to idiots to do their maintenance and not coming to me... silly aqua tropical... using chemicals and shit.. its all about the all-natural filtering! (the plant died because of stupid chemicals the other maintenance dudes put in the tank) |

Oy.. It sucks... :( Death is life, but it's not fun when it happens...
Maybe you can buy carnivorous fishes that would eat the snails? (just put your other fishes in another aquarium ;)) Or... Garlic snails are good too... :D |

Dino actually during the summer i had left to visit megan in tdot, and when i came back 50 snails had multiplied into 500 snails. I kid you not, i counted them by hand.
And i am coppering their asses, but the solution can only be used for about 4 days, so after four days, boom the explosions hits again. I also have 2 botias and 2 occinticulus'...and they cant fucking even keep up! My panda cory's look terrorfied from the evil snail army hahaha. note to anyone...dainos are boring. Tiger Barbs are fun. |
