 Coolness: 149750 | nobody pulled a gun in the party. our security was on top of shit like that (anyone who had pens, cans of soup, etc taken away from them will attest to that) however there was a gun pulled outside, i've been told
i spent new year's outside trying to keep the line orderly. and yes a girl was dragged out by security, her dress came over her head and she was shaved. i pulled it down. then she regained consciousness and went back in the party. finally she left in an ambulance. others were carried out of the building when the party ended. there may or may not have been more ambulances involved. |

I don't really know where to begin, so I'll start by giving props to all who came out for NYE, what an insane night...yet again, brushing reality with kaos in a major way... sorry to all for the nasto-toilets and such, the flood, well...moses himself mighta helped, but no such luck, who'd a thunk it, after all these years, I've never seen a flood like that...anyways, my deepest appologies to all for those hanous affairs and especially to all who came but were not allowed entrance, for that I am also truely sorry. None the less, it was an insane night, and not the kind I will forget anytime soon... ufot-the first post and not the last...welcome to 2004 |

 Coolness: 92410 | It was a totally surreal night. The good was celebrating new years among some awesome people, not to mention DJ Mana's unbeleivable turntablist skills and Stabba's heavy beats. The bad was the basement shutting down and the top floor getting absolutely packed. The ugly....well, let's just say that me walking out of that party with my pants absolutely soaked and muddy was not a pretty sight.
It was certainly an ambitious idea to bring many different crews and styles of music together. Did it work? Well...I have to say not quite. I found myself enjoying some of the music tremendously, but there just wasn't an overall sense of what the party was about. There seemed to be people expecting a rave, people showing up to hear the sounds of the Kops crew, and even a crowd of people who seemed to be there mainly to hear the Rythm Mercenaries, and the end result was very different vibes at different times in the night. This might come off as kinda harsh, which I don't intend to cuz I did enjoy the night, and I have much respect for the people who put together this party..just didn't work for me as well as I woulda hoped. |
