| nah man, what you should be looking for, is a good frequency response.....something like sturio monitor headphones.....I recommend the touhg made, tested and used by the pros....SONY MDR-7506
and for headphones that sound great, they aren't that expensive.....plus, once you buy them, you'll be all like "hey I got the same headphones!!!!" when you see superstars recording in studios wearing the same model so yeah ;) |

| maybe sennheisers then? I have hd570's and they have very big bass but they aren't really portable, not meant for walkman use so much.. Also cost like 200$... but their lesser models might do the trick |

| oh yeah... grado's AREN'T tough. i got the cheapest model (sr-60: 140$) and i woudn't recommend anyone to wear em around and stick em into their backpacks... they'll break. |

| dude-
Sony MDR-V300s are the way to go.
They have good sound quality (won't go into specifics), an adaptor plug to plug into mixers and whatnot (monitor-stylee), AND they shelter your ears from the wind. compact, fold up, not to pricey= good buy. |

| ah yes, those Sennheiser are really confortable too and I just asume that being Sennheiser, they have to sound great but I personalle can't remember....been too long... |

| Headphones depend on a lot of things.. like the shape of your head.. It's better to try out a bunch and see what works for you the best... |

| yeah i agree the aesthetic is of high value in those, but you can't say the sound aint good. plus, he didnt say if he needs them for dj-ing or whatnot. if hes looking for a pair that will churn out his discmans beats, then i applaud the v300s.
plus he did say earmuff.
i like the word earmuff. :P |
|
Coolness: 45575
| yeah you're referring to the ones banned in canada? they definetly aint the 300s. the 300s are like the mini-fold-up version of those.
available at future shop for sumpin like $70 bones. |

yeah I know but the V-700 are pretty much thought of for djing and that's why I was trying to say that it wouldn't be a good choice in this case...
but since it was the V-300s...then I got nothing to say....I never tried them |

| my AKG K-141 Studio phones have a nice thump to them as well as a clean un-coloured sound, you can probably find them at steves for 130$ or something, but i'm sure you could find an 80$ pair of Sony's that'll suit your BASSHEAD needs~ |

| if it's for cd player listening you really don't need anything special, Steph's (Cyren) got a good pair of cd player phones, if your just ecouting a disc man you don't need anything that'll cost you more than $100 |
