i don't understand why people freak out about female dj's and stuff. in my book, the talent is more important then the rest

heh,
you underestimate the number of producers there are.

the only reason it seems like there are so many DJs and so few producers is cause producers don't advertise and play out the way DJs do, so you never see em, but there are a shitload of em.

as for DJs.. who cares, most DJs are crap.

it's just like every body and their uncle are part of a band.. right? same goes for DJing and producing..

doesn't mean they're all that good.

i know it. i have an idea, we should organize a party with only live acts, that would be awesome. So, producers of Montreal, give us a shout!!!

eh.. 'live act' generally doesn't mean more than having the producer play his/her (heh, her) tracks in an mp3 player and have them fiddle with the EQ and effects a bit.

i agree with you but i know a few producers who really throw their stuff ``live`` (i mean really ``live``) and they kick ass. For example, i'm working on a live set with Abbleton Live and it's really cool. :)

wtv...my train of thought just drifted.

any chicks out there that can do crazy vocals, and are interested maybe in participating with my trip-hop project? i want there to be two vocalists women in my band....so far i have one, ands thats me...

Im not upcomming..

I agree with paul. OOOOH female dj. Its the only reason I was able to get booked at two events (one which is still in the works) without neither of the promoters caring about how good I sound.. Then again they were/are first time promoters and really didnt know anything at all about throwing parties.

If I ever end up being really good at it i'll prolly just do it for my own fun. I doubt you'll ever see me play at an event.. Alot of people want me to, Im just not that dedicated enough to ever take it seriously enough.. I think you see that alot tho, one time dj's.

a live producer act, SHOULDN'T be him playing his track on an mp3 player and fiddling..if it is, they that producer is fucking wack, if a producer is gonna do a live show, then they better have some live show material, i've got tracks that can be extended for live show features, i have intro tracks, rap tracks, and some just music tracks, that can be altered for live shows...but then, i don't dj or produce, i just fart on key

it's me the hypeman Samobi, i don't really do anything but yell punchlines and dress nice like Flava flav. The other dude is this brother from miami beach called Self Love. He's black so that'll give us some credibility.

we're called JOG EMC and we're on the inflated ego big head bragdacio olskool-tip

our influences are Fat Boys, Marvin Gaye, Little Stevie Wonder, The Black Poets, Biz Markie and Trick Daddy Dollars

interested in laying down a few ridiculous TRACKS for us EMCees to JOG on?

was gonna wait and ask you laters since you're working on that cd for mr.dibbs. So i'll get back to you on it.
