The amount of hard drug addicts who steal is pretty high, we don't need to name names but we all know at least a couple of hard drug users who steal and rip off money. Injecting is the nast, infections, AIDS, track-marks.. it's all sick, no respect for that.

well when they steal it does affect others, and if you say that none of the people you know who do hard shit steal then you are a LIAR.

Injecting is just a route of administration for taking a drug, do you think its "sick" when doctors or hospitals administer drugs through injection? The danger associated with injection occurs when people don't take the neccesary sterilization precautions or share needles. Probably you just have a needle phobia and project that phobia onto others. I have never injected a substance before, but if the circumstances allow for it I will, and not an opiate. And I don't see anything inherently wrong with injection as a route of administration.

exactly...one way of another...the drug is harming ur body..does it really matter what route of administation you chose to follow....as poisoned candy said....its all about sterilization and know how....if ur a dumb fuker who has no clue ... then ya....its probably raher sketchy that hes piercing a vein with a syringe...but if the person has a relative amount of common sense...im sure they complete the task succesfully enough,....

poisoned candy: Obviously I am not talking about in a medical setting. Geeeez.... I hate when people quibble over semantics...

Unless the needle using drug users have some medical training I doubt they are being healthy with their technique.

I'll make it clear I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT DOCTORS OR NURSES IN A MEDICAL SETTING WHEN SPEAKING ABOUT ABOUT HOW NASTY I THINK INJECTING DRUGS IS

yeah, it takes what, I think 1 year before a nurse is qualified enough to inject someone UNDER SUPSERVISION, let alone with no doctor around.

yes, it makes a huge difference... the chances of OD'ing are probably higher if you are injecting a drug of unknown quality directing into your bloodstream... You can't get aids from smoking a drug but you sure as hell can from sharing a needle.

If you are under the influence of a hard drug the amount of "common sense" you have is questionable. .. Why do you think people do stupid shit like share needles and such? Maybe because they might be too high to care?

but thats my point: you imply that injecting in medical setting is OK but injecting in private is not. and i ask: what's the difference, assuming that proper health precautions are followed?

you ARE right that route of administration does matter, it IS much easier to overdoes on heroin if injected and its FAR more addictive this way. but thats just heroin, theres many drugs that can be injected and the effects depends the substance in question.

and i do agree with your argument about reduced judgement while under the influence, that's probably one of the main reasons injection drug users have such disease rates, cuz yeah you probably aren't thinking straight. in vancouver its something like 26% HIV rate for IV heroin users.

That question about injection is irrelevant because I doubt most people who inject drugs have medical training...

The diffrences between medical and private injections are fairly obvious. Medical is done to save your life or to ease you through suffering that is severe enough to have you in the hospital and need more medical attention than just a quick injection. Private is doing something that requires training, not just for the procedure, but proper monitoring to make sure that there isn't any permanent damage done to your body. Things like blood/oxygen levels and monitoring your heart rate are actually EXTREMELY important, because you don't need to OD to get permanently FRIED, you just need to be stupid.

Scotty i think u have some insecurities you have to deal with cuz ur always beating on other peoples lifestyles whethetr their way of living is right or wrong...whihch consequently is not YOUR palce to say. Of course ur permitted to have an opinion but when you knowingly spurt ur opinion out into a social setting (sad that im refering to the internet as a social setting) where u obviously know that there are people who lead this lifestyle you add insult to injury...i mena the ppl obviously have enough to deal with in light of ALL this wonderful information on theeir drug habits...so i really dont think you need to be so condescending all the time....it honeslty....does nothing to improve the situation...if u really care that much bout junkies...u know..go do something productive and help them without bashing them over the net...thank you....im done

People created their own problems... I don't have to have any sympathy for them. But if you really want to know, I put people ahead of drug use, and most of the people I dislike who happen to shoot up or whatever have done other things besides be addicted that pissed me off, or associate with people who have.
