PDS in the West Island. At the time it was only grade 10 n 11 (sec 4&5), 'bout 2000+ students.
it wasn't a weekly thing like normal activity. i.e. basketball team. it just was one week per year. it was like intense physical activities week. For 7 days, u can sign up for a number of activities if u had the money. ie; tournament basketball, soccer, badmindton, even pool (billard), et cetera... basic scuba was just the mo exotic one. i think also they had bungee jumping. i can't remember the details, i got into drugs afterward. |

i haven't been yet, but i intend to go many many times, my high school also axed it, before we even got to go, it was actually my idea the make it a feild trip...
my french teacher who was a marine corporal or some shit, brought us on all sorts of cool trips, one of which where we got to go do army training and check out the ship that he works on i asked him if we could and he said he'd check it out, everything was all good, until one of the parents found out and complained, so we didn't get to go, thank god we never found out who's parent it was, cause man we're we angry from what i've heard from my uncle (who is a certified jumper) and some friends that have gone, is it's a rush that never gets old. |

in order to dive alone you need you're liscence. i believe it is 3 dives with a instructor before you can pass for your test.. |

Yeah your first few jummps you're going to have a guy strapped to your back.
IT IS SO MUCH FUN! I did it in vegas a little while ago and hope to do it again soon. Basically what happenes is they give you about 1-2 hours of ground training about how to free fall, how to land, and what to do in an emergency. Then they take you up nice and high and poof! the scariest part is definatly when they first open the door and tell you to fall out...your body dosen't want to let you do that. You get to freefall for about 45seconds-1minute and then the shute opens...you feel a jerk in your croch and enjoy the ride down. My first time was a little scary because our first shute did not open. But it was all good because we got to fall for an extra 15 seconds :) Most jumpers have 2 shutes on them and the chances one won't open is very slim. Driving a car is more denagerous. DO IT! |

i was thinking about it today too actually. first sign of warm weather, im in. no ifs ands or buts. i know the same 3 people that nadine knows who jumped last summer, marty says the following, you watch the person before you get sucked out of the plane and your heart drops to your knees. i cant fucking wait. |
