hahaha...lynch's films have more plot and meaning or story or whatever the fuck you wanna call em, than SOO many movies, it just sucks for some, cause they actually gotta pay attention and think about the movie, insted of it revealing itself to you like every other hollywood movie
Lynch stuff is a hell of a lot deeper than most movies out there. Just because you can't keep your attention up to following the movie and/or don't have the intelect required to disect a movie that your watching doesn't mean it sucks.
i loved lost highway...but haven't watched it in about 4 years.
At blockbuster they are selling it for 7.99$. a must buy. Also another must buy at blockbuster is Vidoqc 7.99$ can't go wrong...One of the best movies ive seen, Gen and i rented it on sunday :)
I thought I had Lost Highway all figure out until i re-saw it again recently...
i think it's just Bill Pullman's character feeling so much guilt about brutally mudering his wife that he creates some kind of fictional world in his mind and becomes this alter-ego of himself (Balthzaar Getty).
in a way it's very similar to Mulholland Drive, in that it shows how much guilt can fuck with yer head and push you over the edge.
Speaking of Mulholland Dr. - Noami Watts who completely blew me away (hehe) in that film is starring in 21 Grams the latest film from the director of Amorros Perros. Anyway, there's Oscar buzz about her role in the film. I'm about to go watch it at the AMC, so i'll write a blurb about it latah
and La Haine was fucking great!! Can you believe it was made by the same director who made Gothika?!?! so wierd!
21 grams was alright, but i didn't like the whole showing the end in the middle, and the middle at the end, mixing the timeline bit all up like that, it made the showing 'how they got there' more boring.
