Summer of 2002 found Alex touring the US and Canada on the Topaz Tour. With records topping the play lists of DJs such as Bad Boy Bill, Judge Jules and DJ Dan, and 12" releases on IHR, Soul Phusion, Moonshine and his own label imprint Solmatic Records, David’s talents have been confirmed not only as a top notch mixer but a as music producer as well. & JAY WALKER - Moonshine // Soul Phusion // Solmatic, San Francisco It’s no surprise that with all of his musical background and love for rocking the decks, Jay was able to throw-down a total of 6 releases last year, including two on his co-owned label Solmatic Records. Only 25, he has worked on projects featuring 3LW, Donna Blakely, Willa Ford, Jenne, Tito Puente Jr, Beastie Boys, Dino Latino, and has brought great credit to his discography buy introducing his " 7 Days " Craig David Remix!! He is also releasing two new record labels in the middle of 2002 entitled Beem Music (UK Hard House) and Mantra Music (Chicago House). You can find Rip spinning in huge clubs like the Arena in Hollywood and at events and raves such as CyberKid, Groove Attack (NYC), overseas at Thunder Rave 2000 (Italy), Tokyo, and Toronto. & LUIS ROSARIO - Jade Recordings, Los Angeles As one of the newest additions to the 2am roster, Luis Rosario has been making head way in the recent months on the West Coast bringing his hard funky tribal techno sound to the Los Angeles underground. After coming off a 1 year hiatus because of his relocation to Los Angeles, his new endeavors have helped him break into the West Coast desert scene, have led to upcoming bookings in Prague, and has opened doors for his own production. His soon to be released mix CD "Late Nite Sessions" will prove to be a good glimpse of what’s to come from this techno artist. CD Release for "Underground Authority" on UA Records GIANNI - Spundae // Wellwicked Records, San Francisco Residing behind the decks of the nation’s #1 night club "Spundae" for over two years, Gianni is acknowledged for his sharp mixing and programming of hard progressive, hands in the air, crowd-pleasing sets. Spring, 2002, saw the release of Gianni’s 5th full length CD compilation on Underground Authority and a new track on Wellwicked Records. Touring the US this summer and continuing his work in the studio, Gianni’s second EP is set to release this Fall. & MACGUYVER - Sound Assualt Music // High Density Records, UK 2002 has proven to be quite a good year for Macguyver. Look for his upcoming release "Turning Pages LP" on P51, which is sure to enforce his place in today's DnB ranks. & CD Release for "Firing Pin" on Taciturn Records JO-S - Taciturn Records // Rawkuts // Caffeine, Los Angeles NY drum and bass veteran JO-S is receiving much attention on the West Coast. Besides his Friday night residency at Teknoklub, one of the largest weeklies in Hollywood, his DJ schedule has kept him busy almost every weekend. Recently, JO-S has been spending most of his time in the studio preparing for the release of his first artist mix album. Entitled "Firing Pin", this CD features 13 original JO-S productions continuously mixed. The album is also being accompanied by two 12" singles. DJ OSHEEN - Blinded Records // Nervous Records // 12th Hour, Rhode Island Osheen, New England's own veteran DJ and producer is no stranger to the underground house scene. He began his career in the early 1980's dosing the dance floors of local clubs and event's in the northeast. When the rave phenomena hit in the early 1990's he took his skills and signature sound of house music out to the masses and quickly became known as one of the premier underground house DJ'S throughout the U.S.. Broadcasting every Saturday night on the specialty mix show "Solmatic Sessions", Joey’s mixing and scratching skills hit the masses both over the airwaves and through his live performances every week. This year, Joey released is second full length mix compilation on Underground Authority and has been seen rocking dance floors for Spundae, Feel Good Entertainment, and ClockWork Events. DREAD - Uptown Underground // VR Productions, CT With over 13 years behind the decks, Dread brings to 2am a great deal of professionalism, impeccable skills and most of all a pure underground sound. Owner of VR productions he's been able to break in NE a great deal of new talent, open doors for many and pushed the underground limits at all times. He stands here tonight with countless hours behind the decks spent in front of NE, across US and Europe.
